Aphrodisiacs in Foods

By Linda Bramble

History is replete with various potions and foods that have been thought to stimulate the libido. While many have been based on superstition, there are some that just might have some scientific merit.

Oysters, those slippery little creatures, are rich in zinc, an essential mineral that can increase the production of testosterone.

Chili peppers chemically stimulate the release of endorphins that help bring on the mood.  Chocolate also releases endorphins in the same way.

Gingko, often taken for memory loss can release nitric oxide which increases blood flow.

All with no prescriptions or uncomfortable after-effects! Check out these tips on other aphrodisiac foods.
